Prof. Kristiyan Hadziev graduated from the UNWE in 1995. Since 1997 he has been a tenure assistant professor at NBU, and in 2000 he also became a doctoral student of the Business Department. In 2004 he defended his doctoral dissertation entitled designing Perfect Organisations. Since 2012 he has been an associate professor in Social Governance with a habilitation paper entitled Self-managed Teams: Theory and Methodology.
His research interests are focused on the following areas: Managing Self-managed Teams, Social Governance,Project Management - Theory and Practice, Organization Design, Problems of Target-adapting Organizations, Cross-cultural managements, Managing Cultural Problems and Problems of Cultural Adaptation.
Professor Kristian Hadzhiev has published four monographs and two textbooks in the field of Management Theory, Organisation Design and Teamwork. He is also the author of over 15 studies and articles in reputable Bulgarian journals. He is a member of the Association of Lecturers in Economics and Management (ALEM) and of the editing board of Methodology, Interdisciplinarity, Analyses and Strategies (an annual issue of the Business Administration Department).
